PETER HIGGS

 Prof . PETER HIGGS
On , May 29 1929  the greatest theoretical physicist was born on Newcastle upon Tyne , England .
           He came from an typical  normal standard back ground  family , His father was an sound engineer and worked with BBC, during WW 2  he miss some of his early class and did home schooling.
He finally settle with his mother in Bristol and from there he join Cotham Grammar School

                At the age of 17 he moved to the London from where he specialized in mathematics and get the first honor degree in physics in 1950 , he achieved mater degree in 1951 and a Ph. D in 1954
Prof. Higgs first became to be interested in mass and the idea of massless particle when the earth began .

In 1964 , after coming back from a failed camping trip he showed some work to his friend and then letter he state the work in two papers about the" HIGGS BOSON " and send it to the physics letter  which is an European journal in CERN  . Unfortunately he got rejected . But the great professor never gives up he wrote it again and describe it in  form of ( Higgs mechanism ) .But again due to many other physicist involved and applied they same state to the physics letter , this particle began to be known as Spin-zero boson

On July 2012 CERN confirm the presence of the  new particle in mass region of 126 gigaelectronvolts and this PARTICLE IS NOW KNOWN AS HIGGS BOSON

Although Prof , discovered the most wanting and unpredictable particle but still he is famous an known his greatness by broken symmetry electroweak theory.

LESSON LEARNED ;

                                  No matter which family standard you belong to , no matter which situation your facing but if your curios and passionate about your interest also go for it no matter what hurdle you'll face

THANKS FOR READING  .. DESCRIBE PETER HIGGS IN ONE WORD IN COMMENT BELOW :)

  1. Peter Higgs is an amazing physicist all though it's going to be pretty hard to describe him in one word i would say "brilliant". I would normally describe him as a man ahead of his time who should be more known and famous but thats hard to put into one word. :)
